At Veteran Mentors, we help young Australians and families rebuild confidence, accountability and purpose through unique programs.
Each is designed to reset behaviours, strengthen resilience and re-establish respect.
These programs are not quick fixes. They are deliberate interventions built on leadership, accountability, and follow-through.
Our programs are run by ex Defence Force veterans. People who understand what discipline, teamwork and leadership really mean.
We don’t sugar-coat the process. Transformation takes structure, accountability and courage.
That’s what we deliver.
Veteran Mentors was built on a simple belief. That young people don’t need fixing – they need guidance, structure, and belief.
From day one, everything we’ve done has been for the greater good, putting people before ego and doing what’s right for young people and their families.
Led by veterans, our programs use discipline and accountability to build confidence, purpose, and real change.
The Founders
Both pathways are deliberate. Both are designed to create lasting change.
9 Days. A Lifetime of Change.
The Junior Leader Program is the reset.
For young people aged 12-17.
A 9-day military-style residential program designed to break patterns, re-establish standards, and rebuild mindset.
This program will build discipline, respect, and resilience through structured training, team challenges, and one-on-one mentorship from ex-service personnel.
Many families return more than once, recognising that leadership and personal growth are strengthened through consistent standards, repetition and continued challenge.
Key Outcomes
Rebuild. Reconnect. Move Forward.
The Reconnection Expedition is available at any stage.
A 2.5-day outdoor expedition for a parent or carer and their young person.
Away from schedules, screens and everyday noise.
It’s a guided experience to strengthen trust, communication and shared purpose between parent/carer and young person.
Some families start here to strengthen communication and resilience before entering the JLP. Others use it to consolidate growth and reconnect with greater respect and understanding.
Key Outcomes
Veteran Mentors has guided thousands of young Australians and family units through real transformation. Led by former Australian Defence Force veterans, our team combines discipline with compassion – because we know what it takes to earn respect and rebuild confidence.
We are beyond grateful to the mentors and what they have done with our son. He has really grown over the 9 days at camp into a young man we can be proud of. “B” was starting to go down the wrong path; his school work was deteriorating – even being suspended. He had a horrible attitude and was very negative. He would not help out around the house and when asked, would rudely comment and not do it. He was running off without us knowing where he was. He just had a negative outlook on everything and us as parents. Everything has changed and his outlook on life is now positive and he is more willing to help out and be a positive part to our family. He is using his manners. And most importantly, he seems happier within himself and his attitude seems happier and relaxed.
MICHELLE PILOTTO
I can’t express enough gratitude to the Veteran Mentors team for the incredible transformation in my two boys, aged 14 and 15. After years of school refusal, they are now attending school every day, eating healthier, and even engaging in team sports and PT sessions, something I never thought possible.
If your child is struggling with confidence, direction, or self-esteem, I highly recommend giving them the life-changing opportunity to attend this camp. My boys were hesitant, with tears and tantrums leading up to it, but they pushed through and now, they are genuinely proud of themselves.
The Parent Seminar was equally invaluable. We gained so much insight, and knowing we can attend as often as we need is an incredible support system that helps us keep things on track at home. This program has been a game-changer for our family, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to any parent looking for real, lasting change.
