Embark on a unique adventure-filled retreat designed for parents. Join Veteran Mentor Directors and an intimate community of parents in a rural, serene location where you will uncover your core self.
The Parent Retreat is a 3-day program, disconnected from technology and the ‘real world’. It offers parents the opportunity to share and unite, to learn and to challenge oneself in activities you may have never thought you could participate in.
Engage in breath work, adventure challenges, fire-pit sharing, self-care, self-development, healthy habits, communication development and more! Through guided exploration, you will uncover your strengths, identify constraints, and discover ways to capitalise on them.
Key Outcomes
The Parents Retreat is a transformative experience that seeks to empower and challenge you, both as a parent and as an individual. Through the program our Director Mentors will seek to:
- Build a supportive community of parents
- Facilitate your rediscovery of self
- Identify and harness your strengths
- Empower you
- Share communication strategies that you can employ
- Educate on the importance of self-care and healthy habits
The Parents Retreat is a very open program where you get out of, what you put in. You will have the opportunity to achieve real self-growth, no matter what stage of life you are at and will discover new limits of what you thought possible.

Just a mum, just a friend, just a partner, just an employee…
I had everything society tells women they need to be happy and fulfilled. I was left without a sense of self while being everything for everyone else.
I had lost the enjoyment of living and could no longer remember what I enjoyed doing.
Every day was ground hog day; wake up, work, kids activities, sleep. It wasn’t until I noticed that every morning I would wake up and just look forward to bed time that I knew I needed to attend VM Parent Retreat. I first-handed witnessed VM’s amazing program capabilities with my son attending JLP’s, so at my wits end of having lost who I was I took a leap of faith and signed up. 9hours drive to the destination and the entire time I cried for guilt of leaving my children behind to seek a recharge.
My battery was beyond depleted.
From the moment I walked into the parent retreat surroundings I felt calm and at ease. I realised I wasn’t the only parent who had made the hard decision to put themselves first, fellow parents with diverse backgrounds, but we all shared one commonality; we were exhausted and had lost ourselves.
I thought my recovery to being burnt out would be resolved with a 3 day long sleep. Instead I needed to discover why I was so burnt out, find my values, feel new sensations, and allow myself to enjoy child like activities. I had to address certain issues holding me back from enjoying my life. I had to stop looking for external validation and find myself from within.
I went into the workshops with a mostly open mind and began to remember how much I enjoyed new experiences. I was a little sceptical of the breath workshop. I mean I breath everyday! What could this post do for me! I will admit I was wrong. It opened up a part of my mind and allowed me to process so many thoughts and feelings.
Since returning home I have shared my experiences with my partner and began to do things that bring me happiness. This has only brought us closer as a family and I couldn’t recommend this experience highly enough to anyone and everyone!
